- First showcased in March 2019, the Huracan was spotted testing in Europe early this year
- The ‘Sterrato’ (Italian for dirt road) name will be carried forward to the production model
- It will be based on the Huracan EVO and will share the same NA V10 engine producing 640bhp and 600Nm
Teaser video
Lamborghini teased the Huracan Sterrato through the YouTube video titled ‘Beyond the Concrete’. The video shows the Sterrato racing against a mountain bike. The rally supercar can be seen handling dirt and off-road tracks like a cakewalk. While being in very light camouflage, we can see the upgrades made to the Sterrato over its road-biased siblings. The camouflage reads ‘Brave, Authentic, Unexpected’ the brand’s idea behind building the Sterrato.
Off-road Ready
The teaser shows the Sterrato featuring two auxiliary lights on the front bumper, stronger skid plates, and bolt-on plastic cladding to handle the rough terrain. Also, there is an improvement in approach and departure angles. The ground clearance has gone up by 47mm over the standard road-biased Huracan EVO. The Sterrato features an off-road rally suspension and off-road tires wrapped around 20-inch wheels.

Powertrain
The Sterrato is likely to feature the same 5.2-lite naturally aspirated V10 engine from the Huracan EVO, that churns a peak output of 640 bhp and 600 Nm. The V10 will come mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission. Moreover, the Sterrato will get all-wheel-drive, all-wheel-steering, and torque vectoring as standard. Lamborghini will use LDVI (Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata) offroad drive management system to enhance off-road capabilities.
