  • Powered with a 107.8 kWh lithium-ion battery, the range is said to be between 326 to 360 km

Mercedes is all set to launch the EQS in India on August 24. The flagship electric sedan will first come in the AMG 53 4Matic+ form through the Completely Built Unit (CBU) route. The regular 450+ and 580 variants along with the compact EQB SUV will be launched later this festive season and will be locally assembled.

Powering the all-electric AMG is a 107.8 kWh lithium-ion battery that powers the twin-motor setup (mounted on each axle). The twin-motor puts out 649 bhp and 950 Nm, which translates into a 0-100 time of 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 220 km/hr. Whereas the ones fitted with Dynamic Pack produce a peak output of 751 bhp (in race mode with at least 80% charge left), which makes the EQS sprint form 0-100 in 3.4 seconds, also the top speed is increased to 250 km/hr.

The EQS will feature the Mercedes Benz’s latest hyper screen, which comes with three displays: the instrument cluster, the infotainment system, and a screen for the passenger. Also on offer will be the 4-axle steering that will make the car much easier to maneuver.
